I wonder if, someday in the future, they could develop a digital implant that could switch off or isolate the electrical currents for the part of the brain where seizures originate? Some people with epilepsy get early warning signs that a seizure is coming. Maybe when that happens, they could use their phone or smartwatch to signal the implant that it's time to switch off that small bit of their brain before the seizure happens.

It would probably be better to let the implant detect brainwave anomalies and then automatically take action with stimulation, much like some heart pacemakers do.
