The FAA granted PrecisionHawk, through its membership with The Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue, an emergency certificate of authorization (COA) to aid response teams on the ground following the devastating mudslide in Oso, Washington.

While on-site, the PrecisionHawk UAVs and two company representatives were at the disposal of ground team officials. The UAV was tasked to bring a high-resolution visual camera that could collect data detailing terrain imaging and provide 3D modeling of the site.
