Crowd Sourcing Input for UAS Applications in Hurricane Response. I'll be presenting at the National Hurricane Conference on the subject. I'll probably start with an intro to UAS (for the unaware) and move onto applications route recon, damage assessment, SAR. Feel free to hit me up with suggestions, pics/vids and links.

Hi Robert,
ReplyDeleteYou can find plenty to reuse or reference on dronespeak.com, for example the menus under Uses (Applications), Videos, DroneSpeak, Articles, and DIY. Feel free to use the Contact form if I can otherwise help with your searches.
Cheers,

Thanks for the help everyone. The presentation at the National Hurricane Conference was well attended. I was on the panel with Dr. Robin Murphy Texas A&M Center for Robotics Assisted Search & Rescue and Bryan da Forta CEO Prioria.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it went well. Was the panel associated with the scheduled event "Robot-Assisted Search & Rescue and Emergency Informatics"? Does this conference (assuming it was http://hurricanemeeting.com/) typically place videos or transcripts on the conference website?
ReplyDeleteDr. Murphy was the presenter in the session you mentioned. However, the session I presented in was entitled "Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations in Disaster Response". The website you have is correct but there will be no video or transcripts.
