  1. Personally I think that the there is more of a prospect for robotic delivery systems based on robotic land vehicles. If you take the concept of containerization all the way to the grocery store level.

  2. There is potential for robotic parcel delivery and courier service, but I think such a system works most efficiently with small parcels. Larger parcels require greater lift, which require larger aerial robots, which then become too difficult or dangerous to land on streets and lawns. This may not be such an enormous problem in remote areas (the ones that could make most use of the system, actually), and also in cities with tall buildings. It's not an enormous technical challenge to get small or medium-sized unmanned aircraft to land on the tops of those buildings (flying above is not difficult, but weaving between is an unnecessary challenge). Inter-urban courier service, anyone?

Hey Kevin- sorry you cannot make it to ISTAS13.

Hey Kevin- sorry you cannot make it to ISTAS13. You were the first person I thought of when planning for keynotes after Marvin Minsky- you really were instrumental in pushing veillance as a domain, as soon as you embraced uberveillance...  http://www.kevinwarwick.com/   http://www.kevinwarwick.com/
