Replace The Postal System With Drones?

In the U.S. drones could replace the aging postal system; in developing countries, the drones could connect rural communities to markets, alleviating poverty and delivering badly needed supplies and medicines.

The woman trying to make it a reality is Paola Santana, a former lawyer from the Dominican Republic, who founded the startup Matternet.

  1. It's a tough thing to do in urban centers, but rural mail delivery could be a real thing in 20 years, I think. Maybe 15, if the investment arena is right.
