Imaginative Education

Imaginative Education A video I've made (short) about a project I'm working on via http://www.ierg.net . Should start 2014 in public. Right now working on an 'app' for want of better term, which is about peer-feedback using game-like methods. The actual IE programme is already in play, I'm trying to create a technological-connection between students and teachers to provide a feedback loop anonymously. Think Suga Mitra meets 4 Square. Anyone into this sort of stuff? Have small budget, but as you can see, I'm already doing my own stunts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paT4Ow4T7tY

Learning2gether this Sunday Jan 27 will be at 1500 GMT when MultiMOOC participant Tuba Angay-Crowder leads a discussion contrasting multiliteracies and multimodalities, which she is investigating in her PhD studies - in Elluminate; details http://learning2gether.pbworks.com/w/page/32206114/volunteersneeded#Nextupcomingevents http://learning2gether.pbworks.com/w/page/32206114/volunteersneeded#Nextupcomingevents

A very nice, high-resolution (6.6cm/px) photomap of the Red Rocks Amphitheater, provided by dronemapper.com . Getting an accurate map was a bit difficult considering the severe slopes in the region, but the crew was able to map the area in only 30 minutes. http://www.suasnews.com/2013/01/20649/red-rocks-amphitheater-mapped-by-uas/

Internet Eyes - at my desktop computer, I'm scanning real time CCTV in ten minute segments hoping to catch a burglar or shoplifter in action. Hoping for a chance at a cash reward or just improving my score on the Community leaderboard, I'm logged in to my Internet Eyes account (choosing between two or four cameras at a time) waiting for any sign of movement during closing time (UK time 11pm-6am GMT+0hrs; or my local time 9am-4pm GMT+10hrs), or scanning shoppers who may be about to surreptitiously conceal supermarket shelf items. So far I've viewed a selection of similar looking locations (some with dodgy cams - reported!) during both closing time and opening time without improving my leaderboard score. Wondering how this application can be used in a Vocational Education and Training setting... http://www.interneteyes.co.uk/viewer-how-to-view-cctv-online
