Young-ICT-Entrepeneur-777

The Internet is my employer. Since the connection of my country to the Internet in 1997, my professional and social life revolves around the Internet. I believe the Internet is a change and a real development tool for developing countries. With the Internet, I'm self-employ and help fight against poverty and unemployment. In recent months, I have formed the Cameroon Chapter of the International organization named "Internet Society" to educate, encourage others young Cameroonians to become the next generation leaders of the Internet and make the Internet accessible to everyone.

This young mans story inspired me to think of the 7 billion others whose stories have been waiting also to be told. Indeed, the internet is the most amazing thing that has ever captured countless peoples lives as it weaves and connects and so on....

Ringmaster cracks his whip

Tents flap
Onto another town.

Another Cool Geolocation In Education Resource

Elearning11 Presentation Callout

As described in a number of tweets and via a short message to members of my immediate network, I am now calling for a wider participation from Twitter peeps via #mlearning #edchat #vicpln #ascilite11 for my upcoming presentation at #elearning11 to be held in the Menzies Hotel, Sydney Australia on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.

The current presentation is open to view publicly at http://bit.ly/tBltzI

The idea behind the presentation is to engage in the conversation space that takes in all views on a specific topic area and then to, as part of the presentation provides these perspectives for feedback from a wide audience both physical and virtual.

Here is a presentation I created on the 28th August 2007 on the topic of mlearning as an example -

So here is the topic this time, the format and the manner in which you can engage with me.

Topic: Geolocation

Question: What do YOU consider to be of importance when thinking of geolocation in an educational context ?

Step 1 - Think of the topic.

Step 2 - Think of the myriad of ways in which you are already using location enabled features in the online or mobile technologies you own or use at work

Step 3 - Compose a paragraph or two on the topic.....no more than 100 words or so

Step 4 - Select an image or an application screenshot and save ( something you have permission to publish)

Step 5 - Send both the paragraph of text and the image to me at alex@alexanderhayes.com.....I will also need your full name, your organisation or business name and some way that the public could contact you back ie. a Twitter address perhaps

Ok.....so what will I do with that information ?

I will ( as per the growing presentation that you can access here - http://bit.ly/tBltzI ) add your details to a slide, your text, your image and insert it amongst all others.

During my presentation I will "introduce you", will read your slide and will allow members of the physical audience and the virtual audience to dwell on your image.

Whats in it for me ? Well, a whole heap of work but a well rounded series of perspectives on the topic and in return you receive publication, attention and gratitude !

I hope you will join me and at all times you can see the presentation growing - http://bit.ly/tBltzI
